Photographic Research and Inquiry
I chose the image "Piss Christ" by Andres Serrano.
My immediate reaction to this image is the beautiful use of color used. Studying it closer you can decipher the subject matter, which can come across as shocking. For me, personally, I find it interesting and appealing. It has such a strong concept. Without knowing the artists intent, you can clearly see that the subject matter is a crucifix submerged in a yellow fluid. When I first saw this image I just knew it was urine. Although it is urine, it makes such a beautiful, almost ironic, golden glow throughout the image,
There is an awesome play of rule of thirds going on in this piece. I really think the light source helps the piece dramatically and it really plays up the concept. There is also a nice contrast happening between the light in the figure and the dark amber background.

Humans of UTSA
If you could be anywhere right now, where would you want to be? New Zealand.
This man informed me he has a new job. I asked what his new job was. He said he will be parking shuttles.
If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would you want to meet? Walt Disney. I want to work for Disney one day.
If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would it be? Ernest Hemingway. I would have a whiskey with him.
Describe yourself in one word. "Intense."

Color critique
I critiqued Edmund and Denise.
With Denise's work, there was good subject matter and she had a good concept of color. Her 2nd photo lacked a variety of color, however. The 3rd, I felt is the strongest in color.
With Edmund's work, I saw a steady flow of subject matter and very bright colors. There is a variety of color in each photo. I feel his 3rd photo was the best, color-wise. The 2nd photo consists of many converging lines that seem to make the composition a bit too much for the eye to handle.
